
A 23-year-old man has been captured on suspicion of assault taking after an asserted assault at the Places of Parliament.
The man - whom the Metropolitan Police have not named but rather have focused is not a MP - was captured on Friday. The assault is asserted to have happened in the early hours of that day.
The suspect has been safeguarded "pending further asks" until a date in January, the compel included.
Parliament is "working intently" with police, the Place of Center said.
"We know about an episode on the parliamentary home which is being explored by the Metropolitan Police Benefit," a representative said.
"Parliament is working intimately with the police on their examination and we can't remark promote while this is progressing."
